Not all kids are naturally interested in music; however there are some children who are musically inclined. Music plays a big part in the lives of every child. From the time they were born up to the point when they can sing-along with the kids songs, we usually expose our kids to music.
But as soon as they grow older, their love for music may fade. If you want your child to become musically inclined, you must start introducing different facets of music even at an early age.
At an early age, you can begin to encourage your child to make her own music. Give your kid some wooden spoons, empty coffee cans with lids, rubber bands stretched over shoe boxes. There is no need to introduce complex musical instrument and tools like Euphonix, give anything that you can come up with that would replicate a musical instrument. Make sure that you also play different types of music at home. If you have a wide variety of musical CD collection, let your child choose the kind of music he or she wants to listen too.
Another way to introduce and expose your child to music is to take him or her to musical performances. You may check schedules of musical concerts held in schools or your town. Tell your child about the great composers of all-time. Listen to the music of these music geniuses and read their biographies to your child. This is a good way to know if your child can identify his or herself to any of these composers.
