Today we are celebrating the 61st birthday of one of the most notable humorists in the world on the 20th century, the late Douglas Adams.
Other than being a humorist, Douglas Adams was also a sci-fi author in his time. Completing the Google logo are interactive images relating to the works of Adams including his books and ideas.
Featured in the doodle are a number of Easter eggs, an animated Hitchhikers Guide and an appearance by the Paranoid Android, Marvin.
Adams is best known for his work called the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy that he come up while hitchhiking across Europe. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is a series of comedy radio shows broadcasted on BBC and from there it had a life of its own from books to a TV show, film, computer games, comic books and just recently a stage show called The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show, Live!
