I just learned about Earth Hour a few weeks back after stumbling upon blogposts regarding it. I really regret checking out their website at the last minute and I’m stunned to learn that Earth Hour started 2 years ago.
I badly wanted to take part in this plight and I’m very glad that boyfriend’s GrandAunt is aware of it. We went out at 4pm to buy her meds and was in time to turn off the lights at 8:30pm.
Yz complained about switching the lights off. She thinks we’re going to sleep. So she kept on shouting.. “Turn on light, Mommy! Turn on Light!” Well, at least boyfriend had given Y.z. an interesting activity.
Boyfriend and I walked around the subdivision and I’m glad that 90% of the residents took part.

been doing so for 2 years in a row now.
I too participated in the earth hour. Switched the lights off and unplugged the appliances that weren’t in use. Unfortunately, two of my neighbors were having a graduation party for their kids, so, their lights were on. I left the house and went to their houses to have a late dinner.

@Zorlone: Hi, z! Thanks for dropping by. I refrained myself from opening the computer, too. lol I hope your neighbors turned off the lights for a few minutes. Well, anyway, they can always do that anytime. ^^
I remember that day but we are just watching movies as turn off the light attracts mosquitoes.
oh yes we did too…although isang ilaw di namin pinatay.. di nama pede kase maliit pa nun si chico hehe
