I remember writing my piece in Ciao and I said there that…
I live and breathe Ciao.
That’s very dramatic. But yeah, it’s like I’m lifeless without it. I don’t know what’s wrong with the site now. A few couple of days before, I’ve emailed Ciao admin telling them that I’ve been experiencing some bugs such as being asked to log out before I can continue and that I can’t view other pages.
They have acknowledged the site’s glitch, but I was not expecting that it would be this worse. lol yeah, don’t panic.. calm down. You just can’t log in. Error in page!
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Okay, I too can’t understand. Boyfriend said that the problem is with Ciao’s server. My friend also is having problem loggin’ in. We’re both from the Philippines! How come I’ve received comments a few hours back that they have rated my review. It only means that they were able to log on!
Another friend said he’s been banned, but Ciao hasn’t replied to his query why he got banned. And what’s crazy is that some of his reviews were deleted (removed from the system) and the copied reviews (plagiarists plague) were left.
Are Filipinos getting banned from this site?
UPDATES:
I should’ve thought of this sooner. I went to Mylot to check discussions regarding this situation in Ciao and I’ve found a workaround. To be able to log in, just click on a member then ADD AS FRIEND. A window will pop up telling you to log in, then voila! You’re in!
I was also able to read some more good/bad news in Ciao’s payment system. They’re deleting copied reviews and the copiers’ accounts as well. So if that abuser rated your review, it will be affected financially. They’re are also after the members engaging in clicking cartel. Imagine they can reach $80 in a month span? Wow…
It’s a good step to clean up the site. Actually, I just reported 2 abusers who blatantly copied my Dunstan Baby Language review without even trying to edit it. You can still see my name in it. lol
But I still don’t understand why some original reviews are being deleted and the copied ones are kept. Hopefully, Ciao answers now.

Hmmm.. You got me intrigued about this. What is this Ciao anyway… You make me wanna check about it Fedhz. Never heard it before although I always use the word… I speak Italian to colleagues and special someone (who is Italian) so Ciao is such a normal word for me and normally used by me. But in the context you wrote it, I still have to see. ^^
Hi, Roj! Just sign up! I’ll tell you what you’ll do next. ^^
Hi Fedhz! I wonder if you receive my email? Pls. let me know if you haven’t but if you have, kindly just follow the instructions in THERE.
Thanks.
Hi fedhz, these problems have been happening for 2 months at Ciao and if you are just recently having them then you are lucky. No, Filipinos are not getting banned from the site. Let me tell you from a long somewhat long insider history at Ciao that Filipinos would be probably the one of the only foriegn countries that would not get banned if they did.
Here’s why: The actual good writers at Ciao mainly come from 3 countries;
1. The U.S. of course as Ciao.com is adminstrated from the U.S. and I have never met a plagiarist from the U.S. and 99% of our people speak fluent English regardless of what race they are.
2. The U.K. recently as a lot of people are coming here from Dooyoo and Ciao.co.uk and they are real stuck up about their writing and
3. the Philippines as almost every writer I have met from there has been a superb fluent English speaking writer and both me and Kaitlin (Ciao top management) have been more than impressed with all of you (with the exception of one person).
My girlfriend is from Qeuzon City and is one of the best writers at Ciao and along with me is one of Kaitlins friends and confidants. I am having the same problems as you and I am from Decatur, Illinois U.S.A. smack dab in the heartland of the U.S.
They have been trying to update browser cross incompatibilities with Opera mostly and when they fix one thing it messes up another. You can blame that on me and Kaitlin as we both use Opera and half of the reported bugs came from me. inkuboz was worried about the Philippines being banned and almost started in with the racist card, but he should know better. The U.S. is made up of all races and nations, that is what America is. There are racist groups here, but they have been the minority since the late 1970′s and you only here about them because of the media. They also don’t want us to forget our racist mistakes so that we don’t repeat them. I hope this helps some and brings your hopes up.
As for Mylot, that is the last place anyone should look for advice. I would like to say to you that you shouldn’t really promote your referral link to anyone besides people you know and trust and especially not here or Mylot as that is how most of the plagiarists, spammers and churners find thier way to Ciao, from everyone promoting their referrals, especially on Mylot. Unfortunately, the proof has been that the majority of bad people at Ciao have been from Indonesia and India. That is sad because there are a few people from both of those countries who are very good writers at Ciao and they may have to suffer in the end unless I can get Kaitlin to make some sort of exception for them. You are a decent writer and I hope you don’t get scared away. You should stick around through the bad and help us make it better.
@LATERALUS: Thank you so much for the explanation. I wonder who that one person you’re referring to. Oh, how about my friend who got banned and his reviews were deleted? I hope you can also shed some light regarding his situation. I’ll send you a private message regarding that one.
Aw.. yeah, I am also disappointed in mylot now. The site’s plagued with plagiarists and nonsense comments.
I have friends from India (I met in Ciao) who write really well. I don’t want to lose them there. Okay, because of this clarification, I will definitely stick there. thanks a bunch!
