When the Cat is Away…

.. the mouse will play.. the guitar!

I finally had the room all to myself.. err… still with Yz. Boyfriend went out with his friend (Yz’s godfather) and had a few drinks. It is a very rare ocassion that I have space and time for ME! I know boyfriend felt the same.

Anyway, my hands and voice box were so itchy and were enthusiastic to cry out loud! Boyfriend can’t stand the sound of my voice so this was my very opportunity to practice the song, Taiyou no Uta by Kaoru Amane (Erika Sawajiri). In fairness to boyfriend he’s the one who taught me the strumming (which I still can’t get right, sigh…)

Please excuse the bloopers. I still haven’t memorized the lyrics so I was looking at the computer but the monitor turned off … (saving energy) lol. In the background you’ll hear a faint Little Einstein theme song.. damn.. Yz woke up because of my noise hehe. I had to keep her away from me. The TV served her company.

So there, anyway I got hooked after finishing the series, Taiyou No Uta and been practicing playing the guitar and singing the Japanese song for about a month now. I loved the song and the meaning and of course how it was incorporated on the JDrama.

I still am having trouble with some of the chords. It’s hard to sing while playing the guitar. lol.. I can’t get the word “monokuro” right no matter how many times I try. haha.

I hope boyfriend goes out again so I can practice the song Goodbye Days by Yui. too hard.. geez…
