My first Mother Day was also memorable and really happy. I just gave birth to Yzabella and a few days after that, it’s Mother’s Day. I was still unwell and couldn’t stand up straight (I delivered her CS). When baby Yz cried in two in the morning, we all woke up (hunny, his mom and I) and hunny greeted me Happy Mother’s Day. Hunny and I stayed home and watched Charlotte’s Web starring Dakota Fanning.
Second Mother’s day started with the usual things we do – woke up at 2 in the afternoon, ate late breakfast-half lunch, took a bath and headed out. We “dined” in our favorite fast food chain, Tokyo Tokyo where hunny ordered the usual food – The Bento Meal: Beef Teriyaki for me and Beef Misono for him. But wait, he also ordered a California maki for me. It’s a special day indeed.

We went to the Department Store, just like the usual trip we do like every other day. I coerced Yz on choosing and picking up some toys. I know her dad couldn’t resist.
The day before I asked Hunny to download my old time favorite movie, Romancing the Stone. Usually, I had to compete over the matter of who’s turn is it into downloading, but he let me download the movie.
After Yz’s nap in the late afternoon, we cuddled up in bed and watched. Although there are some interruptions – Aunts’ butting in to greet Yz and Daddy belated happy birthdays and gift giving – I am still happy and loose. (I am usually uptight and cranky) See? I even wore a loose top.
Although a few days back he was not my favorite person in the world, because he didn’t let me and Yz attend ate Pehpot’s son’s birthday and baptism. It was already scheduled and all of a sudden, two days before Mother’s day he told me we couldn’t go. I was really disheartened. Sorry Ate Peh!
But this mundane day turned into something special because Hunny devoted his time to me and favored all most of my wants.
