When Hunny and I had a baby (Yz), we don’t have that much time to go out just like when we used to. When I was living with my parents, he would just text me or leave me a message in YM telling me that we need to go here and there. He’s very spontaneous. You wouldn’t guess what’s the next thing he’ll be doing. One time, when I was wearing a skirt, he made me crawl under a bulb wire after getting drunk from a friend’s party. And when I was wearing high-heeled shoes, he made me walk like 500 meters because there were no public utility vehicles because of the SONA (State of the Nation Address) here in Batasan.
One of our favorite thing to do (yeah, aside from that *winks*) is to Watch movies. The last movie we watched from the cinema is Transformers part 1. Yzabella was a month old back then. I had my cousin watched over her since she’s just sleeping and crying and sleeping and crying all day. I had breastmilk pumped already. We weren’t even had a nice sleep but hunny so much wanted to watch the movie. (That’s how spontaneous he was. Maybe next time, we’ll be off bungee jumping). Since June is Father’s Day, I thought maybe that would be my “gift” for him. Although I was all groggy, I enjoyed the movie (well, aside from the boy and his parents who were noisily talking about the movie).
Since we wanted to be hands-on Mommy and Daddy to Yz, we don’t go out often by ourselves. We always tag Yz along, so watching a movie in the cinemas is not probable. We satisfy ourselves into watching DVDs, reruns in cables, downloading torrents, or watching online. No more noisy kids and squealing cellphones. That’s what I hate in the movie house!
What I like about watching movies at home is that you can pause, play and backtrack and you also have subtitles options. What’s the use of Hunny’s Series 7 46″ Samsung LCD HdTv and Logitech Z5500?
Yesterday, an old friend and I chatted and she told me she likes to watch movies online especially since they don’t have cable tv. Mymovees.com gives you link to other video sharing sites. It’s a database of movies from old to new ones, from comedy, action, drama, animation and fantasy. There are also reviews and comments from other movie buffs so before you jump into a movie that you’re craving to watch, you’ll have a head start or a spoiler. It’s up to you.
