Fresh News Theme

I’m having fun cleaning up my blog. I am back tracking my posts – polishing blog entries, deleting excess and unnecessary tags, relocating the sidebar widgets, adding and removing unwanted links, deleting senseless blogposts, changing the picture links to lightbox (you know when you click the picture it will pop up in the middle.. i love that plugin)..

I’m falling in love once again with this theme that I won’t be changing it to Thesis theme, no sooner. I just thought it was too cluttered that’s why I wanted to change it. Now that some blogger friends noticed that it’s clean and looks new, I reconsidered, though it looks broken when you view it in IE.. (IE sucks) I used to like 3 column-theme, but I don’t think I would be needing all the space. Besides, I like the blogpost spot to consume the bigger space.

Although pictures livens up a blog, just make sure you’ll use it in moderation. If you remember, I used to have lots of banners (and huge ones at that) in my sidebar. I thought I would be earning from them, but as I checked, no one even dared to click on them.
So I limited the pictures and left the text links instead. I made another page for my friends’ badges and a banner for my online earning gigs. I resized the huge pictures in my blogposts and made them thumbnails on the left side. I think it looks cute that way.

One thing I like about Fresh News theme is the category menu and its sub-categories. I’m still having problems with the tags and categories. I’m really poor at organizing, although I love putting things in order. Maybe I just have my own way of looking at things.

So far, so good. Hopefully, next week I’ll be done with this blog, so I can move on to the next one. I have a pending “niche blog” that I’m so excited to start on. I will be using the Thesis Theme there and will be trying to make a custom background design… Hopefully. Anyway, hunny promised to help/teach me. Yay!
