Love Notes in my Locker

highschool_lockersI didn’t go to college that’s why I didn’t have the chance to experience how it’s like to have a school locker. The high school that I attended didn’t have school lockers as well, and I don’t think we really needed to because we don’t have activities like sports that would need us gym lockers where we can place our change clothings.

What we have though were wood lockers, which really weren’t lockers, but just mere bookshelves. I don’t know why the teachers refered to as a locker since it didn’t have any locks at all. The usual lockers I see where made of metal and I only saw one wood locker in Fitness First (as far as I can remember).

This is one of the things I regret not having. I mean, although colleges here have lockers, you still have to pay for one which I don’t think I would be able to afford. Getting into college was a problem for me because of financial issues, what more a locker. I thought those come in free or included with the miscellaneous fees. Well, I guess that’s because lockers are not for free as well.

Oh yeah, I had the chance to experience to have a locker when I was working in some  fast food chains. Although they are for free, someone with a nice location will want you to bid for it and would place locker for sale. How I hated that. Are they actually selling that space? LOL. I didn’t think that only stores who legitimately sell have the lockers for sale sign!

Anyway, I have found a colleague who is in nightshift who was willing to share his locker when his locker mate’s contract ended. It’s not really that big, you know. You can only fit your purse or cellphones in there. He gave me a duplicate key and when I open our locker, I would find a small inspiring notes that kept me going on through those crazy hassle days. It was really cute. Do you know the movie, Lake House where Keanu and  Sandra B. exchanged notes through the mailbox? Mine is like that, except that the note was from a person in the night shift.
