Ciao.com is closing down. The letter I received sounded good news. But for everyone in Ciao, it is otherwise. Ciao has paid a lot of unworthy members in the system. Well, they may have contributed to the site, as they have been clicking and visiting other reviews, meaning they are able to keep the site alive, unlike me who had only been active there the first few months that I joined.
They may have written senseless reviews but they always logged in and I guess that’s what Ciao wanted from them. In a way, those people got their incentives. Who wouldn’t want to earn $80 in a month just writing some s2pd review or copying from another and just click away.
I would have done that. But my values always got in the way. I’m not saying though that everyone in the system were like that. But most did, that’s why Asian IPs were banned. Ciao has already gained a great traffic and maybe that’s what they needed, instead of advertising on PTC sites. Two in one hit. They had acquire content and traffic. Great.
I’m not sour graping here. I have loved Ciao because of the great writers you will find in there and the friendship that I made, until spammers and cheaters infiltrated the site. Ciao is a great loss for people like them who are trying to earn quick bucks from the site. That’s what happened now.
The lesson I learned here is that I shouldn’t indulge myself into earning scheme like this just for the sake of earning a few quick buck. I will focus on not trying too hard to earn and just focus on the things that I love to do… hmm have I heard this a lot of times?

how can we not be grateful at ciao? if not for that site we wouldn’t have met.. hihi..
anyway, good for them, finally they realized that they are just throwing away their moolahs and for sure they discovered too that crocodiles also roam around the great U. wahaha
