Kevin’s Toys and Library in Trinoma

Saturday Jun 27, 2009

Granny’s reflexologist came yesterday so I had Mike massaged as well. I hope he was able to relax cuz while we he was being rubbed down because he was still thinking about his client and the task at hand.

Mike needed a break so he decided that we should go out and treat ourselves. We wanted to bring Yz to Gymboree again, but when we got there at 2pm, the receptionist said they won’t open until 3:30 because they have an ongoing class. I brought Yz to the neighboring play house, Kevin’s which cost Php 205.00 for an hour (Php 185 for the kid and Php25 for the accompanying adult) compared to Php 320.00 in Gymboree for two hours. Don’t forget your socks for you and your baby otherwise you have to buy one.

Yz wanted the slides but I think she had fun in Kevin’s as well. There are many kids but not a hindrance to enjoy. Oh, I wish I had a camera! Grr.. There are many toys in there like robots, barbies, dollhouses of different shapes and sizes, little cars and those you can ride on, Playstation, DS lite, and other computer stuff, one slide, a house with mini-bed (exactly for 2 year olds), some blocks of different sizes, pool of balls, stuffed toys like Barney, Spongebob, and carebears which are like 2 feet in height, mini-tub for playing house with a baby doll, a piano, nursery books and some toy tools.

They also have a guy manning the slide. The playhouse is small but still it’s great. I mean, if Yz would have a separate toy room, I would want it designed like this. But I liked the background music playing in Gymboree. The sounds in Kevin’s are too upbeat. In Gymboree they play Mother Goose Nursery rhymes which helps in kid’s brain development.

I was relieved that Yz didn’t resist when I told her it’s time to go. When we got out she was pointing at Gymboree and all her excitement is still there. I bet a hyper kid like her would really have fun with a big space like a gym where she can run and climb and slide.

Hi Fedhz. Sori ngayon lang ako nakavisit. Didn’t saw your comment until now coz it was in the Contact section pala.

Anyway, this post reminds me of the time my son was just your baby’s age. I use to bring him to play places too to play, and later to tag along with him. :) He’s big now and getting taller than me. Time flies so fast, so it’s nice to enjoy kids every moment. :)

hi fedhz, i could only imagine, this must be so fun. My little boy enjoys going to play center, though the one we usually visit here does not have so many toys like you mentioned. It’s more of physical activities, and I’m actually like panting every time we go to the place.LOL.

BTW, your in my links already. thanks for adding me as well.:)

@Dee: hi! thanks for visiting. yeah. I am enjoying every moment yet I miss everything. That’s why I need a camera. haha.

@Joe-ann: yeah. that’s why we wanted to bring her after she had taken a nap so she’ll have lots of energy to run around and enjoy. Yes, in Kevin’s it’s mostly about manipulating the toys and in Gymboree, you can run around, slide, jump – physical ones. ^^
