My grand father was big on NFL, I remember it so vividly since we only had 1 TV set at the time and whenever there was a game, that as the only show on. His favorite team was the Greenbay Packers led by Brett Farve which was consequently his favorite player/quarterback as well.
I also remember lining up in a local sports TV station to join their NFL raffle with my aunties Their prices where signed NFL merchandise and a nfl Sunday ticket to a team’s game of your choice as their grand prize. My aunties were hell bent on winning the grand price for their dad as a present for his birthday. They really wanted him to see an NFL game live, unfortunately a NFL Sunday ticket was expensive not to mention the plane fair going there as well.
Not to our surprise, we didn’t win the grand price, but we did win a signed football by Brett Farve himself and an original Greenbay Packer cap. My aunties were optimistic since winning something is better than nothing at all. In the end we just gave him the prices we won from the raffle, and just watched the nfl sunday ticket scheduled game we were hoping to win on TV; Along with his favorite food and a case of cold beer.
