I registered for the race of New Balance Power Run Raising for Hope on September 27. I haven’t been able to bike, walk or jog the last month so this would push me to exercise and train. Yihee! Gush.
New Balance Power Run Raising Hope Race Kit
I looked for New Balance in Trinoma since it’s the closest branch where I can register. I was pointed to Olympic World by the Concierge, but it was in Planet Sports where the registration is. The guys in Planet Sports were very accomodating.
Unfortunately, the small sized singlet for the 5k race was out of stock. They told me to come back on Monday or Tuesday. But I don’t think I can come back any sooner. I thought I would just enter the 3k run which is not actually a race, a fun run only without winners and time. I called up Mike cuz I wasn’t sure if I’ll just get the 3km which only contained a white shirt and not a singlet. (I want a singlet!)
So they asked me if I can just go to another branch. The next closest would be greenhills or Edsa Shang. Fortunately, the Granny and the Aunt were in Edsa Shang so I opted to go there instead. They had the 10k and 5k race kits reserved for me. Not much hassle compared to what I experienced from Urbanite registration. I left New Balance Edsa Shang happily.
Although they don’t have time chips, I’m happy that I have a singlet the route map. I’m officially part of the race. Yey!

Win? hahaha labo! usual time ng 5km winners ay nasa 15mins below that’s a 3min/km pace. More like “sana makatapos”, just being realistic

For the safety and welfare of all participants the event is moved to November 29, 2009 (Sunday) same venue. Please keep your race kits for additional perks.
