I’m glad we’re finally home. We went out late to go to the mall at 6pm so we had to come home at 9pm (malls close at that time). Since everybody wanted to ride the taxi, whether it’s raining or not, we always had to compete with everyone else. So anyway, the last minute when we were planning on commuting instead, a taxi driver let us in.
He asked if he we can add Php 10 to our meter amount and I thought that’s better than the previous drivers who asked for double the fare. Anyway, as we were to pass by a Police station, the driver asked if he can stopped by to get his license. Because of that my heart almost leaped out from the taxi. I have trauma with cabs pulling over for something, whether they’re just gonna pee or load up the tank.
It’s ber season and you can hear news about snatchers and holduppers everywhere. It was December 22 (I think 4 years ago) when Mike and I were mugged in a jeepney. From that point on, every man who looked like the mugglers are suspicious to me. I became more jumpy when a stranger comes to me holding up something or when a motorcycle runs fast past me.
Another incident was that when I was in Ever Gotesco and bought the iron rod hangers, the taxi driver took off without me. It’s a good thing the person in front of me called his attention (aside from the mall guard who whistled), he halted. His excuse was that he thought I was already inside the taxi. I don’t know if I’m just judgmental, but from the way he carries himself, he’s not very trustworthy, so I took my stuff from the taxi and walked home instead.
I really don’t like this feeling. That’s the only time we can get away from the computer and relax. It’s not relaxing, really… The cab driver looked very nice. He even apologized for not being able to send us infront of our doorstep since he cannot get inside the subdivision without a license. Anyway, we were already anxious when he was texting before he said that he needs to stop by to get his license. You know, we already had that eerie feeling so No Way, Jose! Well at least he didn’t insist.

better safe than sorry! when in doubt leave it out!
lahat na ng cliche’…we had the same experience in a jeepney way back year 2000 and there was a knife poked at my then bf’s neck! we just gave away the bags and cash and they went off…since then, pag duda…baba na lang kami kesa mapahamak pa…kahit tamang hinala lang
btw, naks! i clicked your ad from adgi! you’re in na! hahahah!

yeah, if everything goes well for me, I can afford to get us our own ride before the year ends. I’m sick and tired of these fuckers who’d rather resort to violence and leech off honest citizens… I do hope natural selection takes its course on them sooner than later.
