In one of my favorite Korean drama series, the lead actor graduated as a lawyer from Harvard. He was not that rich but he was very intelligent. He started a small firm of his own where one of their clients were suing the asbestos factory they’ve been working for for years because of the disease called, mesothelioma they acquired from it, but the case didn’t push through because they didn’t have the money to afford Mesothelioma Lawyers since most of them are already sick and cannot even buy medicines or have them check with a doctor for a mesothelioma prognosis.
Coincidentally, his love interest was a doctor and the very reason she became one is because she wanted to take care of the unfortunate ones. Although this couple (the lead characters) had problems with their relationship, they helped hand in hand to solve this case – the girl doctor helping the pleural mesothelioma patients fight for the solicitation of free medicines and health care while the guy lawyer defending the poor victims in suing the company.
It was a horrible sight. The whole town is plagued with the disease since the factory lies beneath the center of the town. It has been there for years and the people who worked for them lived with their families near the building so everyone got infected. They didn’t know the bad effects of asbestos to the their bodies.
It’s a fact of life that some people make use of others to make them richer by stepping on to others lives. And there people who give their lives educating others just like the lead actress in this drama. In the end, they won the case. The company had to pay them lots of money and they had to take down the factory and provide other means of income for the whole town.
They say ignorance is bliss. But will you let your children shoulder the consequences of your unawareness?

which korean drama series is this? i used to be hooked on these korean dramas. i might check this one out too since it looks interesting.
korek sis, the big ones almost always sacrifice those who are helpless. asbestos has long been banned because it is a carcinogen pero meron pa ring gumagamit, esp in the 3rd world countries kasi kulang education about its dangers.
