Are You Spying on Me?

Sunday Oct 18, 2009

I always wonder how much money spies are paid for doing their jobs. I mean, they don’t have the right to choose their missions and their lives are always at stake. They will be pretending to be somebody else. Your life has been owned by the higher authorities.

I’m talking about Chuck. He’s just a normal guy who wants a simple life. But he didn’t know that there’s something much greater and this lifestyle comes after him no matter how many times they try to get his boring life back (working at an Appliance Store). He can’t even have a normal date with Sarah. Cuz everywhere they go, there’s always an eye watching over them.

Chuck's room full of hidden cameras

Let’s just say, it’s in his blood. I won’t blab any more about the series, cuz I hate spoilers too. I’m just pondering (yes, I’m pondering again) how my life would be having hidden cameras all over my room or to anywhere I go. (geezus!) Just like Big brother and other reality shows that even in the bathroom there are cameras. Yikes! I can’t live that way. Thank gawd I didn’t pursue an acting career.

What if you want to have a solitude or that you want to cuddle cuddle with a special someone? I don’t want to hide under a blanket. But maybe it’s exciting thinking that someone is watching us doing it. Hihi. (peace!)

And oh, I remember the comedy movie, Meet the Parents. Apparently, the father of his girlfriend was an ex spy and their house was loaded with cute Hidden Cameras. Yes, cute. Because you wouldn’t know that this fluffy teddy bear has spying capabilities, or the granny and grampy’s photo frame has one too.

Since Chuck is a spy/asset, these cameras are of importance to protect him. But there’s always a downside to everything. He can’t have a normal life. But will I do that to my kid just like the father from Meet the Parents? I know that’s disrespecting someone else’s privacy. But how far will you go protecting your child’s welfare? Yes, maybe a hidden camera may be good for spying on your nannies and protecting your home from burglars and unwanted/uninvited guests. hehehe ^^

I guess, it is a good thing to use on baby sitters!

maganda nga yun sa baby sitters kasi mamomonitor mo kung ano ginagawa sa anak mo while you’re away :D

fedhz: oo naku buti na lang talaga hindi ka nag-artista. wahaha!

yup… a good idea to use on babysitters. you could monitor how they take care of your child and in cases of abuse, you have strong evidence. :D

Yes, that’s a great idea. ^^ it’s managing them from afar and knowing who are the honest ones.

Hidden camera is good for security, not invading people’s privacy. Thats my opinion :)

i wouldn’t want to live like that too! i would understand if there are cameras in business offices, in banks, in malls, even sa mga streets since that is for security reasons. but at home? that’s invasion of privacy! hehe!

so this is a new series dear? intriguing.. this reminds of the movie The Truman Show.
