Cozy Ceiling Fan

Thursday Oct 29, 2009

We never had anything fancy appliance in the house. If we wanted a TV, my father would think about it a million times before he  would buy one. There had been also a time that we had no refrigerator, cassete, TV nor radio. That’s why I was always amazed by the appliances of our neighbors.

I spent most of my childhood days in our neighbors’ houses. I always admired their huge TV sets, karaoke and cassete tape player, microwave, oven toaster, two door refrigerators, and of course, the ceiling fan with light bulb in the middle.

Yes, I fancied about the wooden ceiling fan my godmother had in her house installed up on their main dining area. They don’t usually eat there. Instead, my godsister and I played house under the huge rectangle wooden dining table and chairs and make our Barbie dolls houses below. We would turn off all the white incandescent lights and would turn on the light bulb and the ceiling fan for the night effect. Kids are so imaginative.

Those wooden ceiling fans makes me feel at ease. They gave me comfort of how simple life could be. My other godmother had a different tone. Their house was of modern style, and everything was in bronze or metallic. Being that, their ceiling fan was like that of Minka Aire Concept II fan and it shown a classy atmosphere.

wooden ceiling fans are a nice touch on eveyr one’s home kaya lang sa chinese ayaw nila nyan kase daw para syang vacuum na kinukuha ung negative energy habang umaandar sya tapos pag pinatay mo na sya parang ibabagsak din nya ung nega energy.. hehe

Desk fan is nice but the wind not strong enough, I mean not for the whole room.
