We were walking up the overpass near St. Peter Parish Saturday afternoon the day we celebrated my birthday, and were greeted by this sight.

Pretty! I love rainbows! Living in Washington, I don’t really see them that often. But when I moved to Hawaii, I saw them all the time, and they didn’t seem special anymore. But now that I’m back in Washington, I wish I could see them again. I miss the island life.

Rainbows reminds me of God’s promises, not only about the flood, but His many promises to me and my children in the Bible.
Yes, the rainbow is a very meaningful symbol. It represents hope in all adversities that come our way. That no matter how destructive the storm in our lives maybe, the rainbow radiates in the sky to remind us of God’s faithfulness to all His promises, one of which is, “He will never leave us nor forsake us.” Thanks for the post and photo. I just remembered when I was a kid, we saw a rainbow..not just one but three.. as in.. in full.. kase we were traveling and napadaan kame sa open field.. and I thought it would bring us good luck. but then now, alam ko na no, that it was raining in some parts kaya may rainbow hehe
