To Heart’s Desire

Whenever I read of poems, I always remember my highschool days. Why in our life’s entirety that we’re able to write classical narrative poetry during those pre adolescent stage? In my experience, I was very sentimental and full of emotions during those times. I just have to laugh whenever I read my past compositions. To think I can’t even write a single stanza or prose today.

I admire those people who can still write from the bottom of their hearts and could still express it in creative ways. Talent or skill or practice? Whichever, I know it was written with passion. Just like Jonas Hyde. Just take a peek of his wonderful literary works entitled:

  • Lament for Lady Beth
  • Seraph’s Song: The Epic Fable of Sister Sera
  • My Dragonfly
  • Evening Star
  • The Veil

Sometimes I tease the boyfriend, cuz he had written quite a number of sonnets during his senti/emo days. I didn’t think he’d lost it. He just need to get back to the rhythm. He’s a little timid when I show him his old notebooks where he had written his love notes to his old love interest.

Oh, yeah. In case you’re wonderin’ if he had written some for me.. Yup, he did. About 2 or 3 sonnets I guess. And that’s usually when we break up because of misunderstandings, you know. It’s fun to look back although those were bitter-sweet memories. Anyway, that’s one of the reason why I fell in love with him. Geez. Cheesy! Yes, his cheesiness. lol
