Farm Living

My dear friends, I really want to transfer to another place right now, far far away from the negative creatures dwelling in the same house where we are. Family and friends had given us options from small to big houses to luxurious condo living in and outside the town. A blogger friend also told us a land we can purchase near their farm in Palawan.

Mike really wanted to live simply and the sound of living in the sub-urbs or in the middle of nowhere is another option. It could be somewhere in Baguio where he grew up, or in Palawan where some of his father’s friends live.

Okay, do you think a city boy and a city girl like us can survive to live without the accessibility of malls and food delivery? Well, we can (I think).. as long as we have our 3 basic needs: electricity, water and.. internet. Yes! The internet. Mike and I will die without the internet. Just like when Mike’s computer is down, Mike also gets sick. That’s how dependent we are on the internet.

My dear friend is in vacation in their farm right now. She was able to get hold of a prepaid broadband internet. And you guessed right. She can’t get a decent connection yet. Have I told you it’s in the middle of nowhere?

She once told me that if ever we want to settle there, we can subscribe to a broadband satellite internet which cost around $200 monthly. Yikes! I will need to work double hard to be able to afford that. I wish there’s an australian broadband guarantee here. I think there’s start from as low as $10 a month. Well, I guess the cost depends where you are. First things first, we will have to save up for the farmhouse. ^^
