Ekaw ba’y nalolongkot at walang makausap? Baket hende mo kunin and telepono at ipokpok ang telepono sa iyong olo? (Are you sad and has no one to talk to? Why don’t you get the telehpone and hit it onto your head?) It’s a joke I used to hear on the radio way back a decade ago. I think it was a rip off from an advertisement of “dial-a-friend” thingy.
Whenever I visit Anak ni Kulapo, this phrase always come to my mind. Whenever I feel lonely, I just dial (type in the domain) and hit it on my head. No, seriously. I just go there if I’m really feeling sad and just want to laugh my balls off. Well, as if I have balls. Anyway, if you just want your room mates see you rolling on the floor laughing, then you just dial A-n-a-k_n-i_K-u-l-a-p-o.
Oh, by the way. The blog is written in Tagalog (Filipino Language) so I dunno if you can relate especially most of the jokes are Pinoy (Filipino) humor. That’s what really get your balls rolling as well. And oh, you don’t really need to read the texts just to know that it’s a humor blog. The author (which is in fact our very dear friend, buraot.. who else?) uses captivating images which is of course related to his topic.
Like this one. It’s my favorite. I saw this somewhere in my bf’s facebook. I guess Kuya Bu knows where to find these kind of images. Anyway, this is an MMDA sign which actually read, BAWAL TUMAWID. NAKAKAMATAY. (No Crossing Over. Deadly) It is a really huge sign. You won’t miss it. And sometimes it was placed just below an overpass (bridge).
The image was photoshopped and was translated to: “curse you! go ahead and kill yourself”.. almost saying like that.
