I saw from the news yesterday that somewhere in Paco, Manila that 2,000 people lost their houses due to a fire. The fire lasted for 4 hours and I’m guessing that this is the fire I captured late in the afternoon, January 13th 2010.
Everyday we here sirens in the area. It could be the police, ambulance or fire trucks. But that time, I was very sure that the sirens we heard from 4 in the afternoon to about 7 in the evening were from the fire trucks.
As expected, the fire victims not only lost their homes but lost their valuables as well. It’s very inevitable to have mobs abusing the situation.

Horrible thing to happen. Since it’s campaign time, many of the candidates will probably extend their help. In any case, I hope the victims get what they need to rebuild their lives.
Awesome view from your pad, btw.
I will be praying for all those in Manila and all those people that lost their homes.
Oh gosh this is terrible! I do hope they get the help they need.
ray. kakapasok lng ng taon ganun na agad inabot nila. tsk. sana tumulong yung mga pulitiko na nagmamagaling ngayon ano? para man lang may pakinabang tayo sa kanila kahit papano.

Beautiful scenery but also sad to know what has happened. Hope there are minimum casualties.

sorry for those who were affected by the fire. i hope and pray that they may recover from the trauma.
i feel so sorry for them…sana makabawi sila kaagad
grabe, nakakaawa sila. victim na nga ng sunog, victim pa ng nakaw. bakit may mga taong pagsasamantalahan pa ang ang nangyari.
