They say the if you’re earning more money than usual, your expenses increases as well. Just like my brother who works in a call center who couldn’t even afford a cotton bud from his previous jobs, now able to buy pizza or cake every cutoff, and that he was able to register for Fitness First. (You know, the monthly charge cost Php2000 up and that you need to have a credit card to be able to apply for membership), aside from their monthly visit to Divisoria with our mom.
Anyway, when Mike started earning more, our expenditures increased as well (according to him). Funny that he didn’t buy any gadget the last year nor upgraded his rig, but we spent too much on food and splurged on some kitchen wares. Last night he said we were spending too much now that we live in the condo since the malls and 24/7 stores are only a few steps away.
I don’t really think he spends even more here aside from the bills that we need to pay monthly and the quarterly tax and insurance of the building than when we’re living with the Granny. As for me, yes now I do spend more cuz I have something to spend. LOL. I mean now I’m in charge of our food and laundry payable, unlike before that I only share for and Yz’s clothes.
I hope we won’t be needing any abacus debt management help someday. Anyway, finally I have learned how to manage my finances (yes, thank you after 48 years) and now I don’t spend more than I earn.

This is SO true. Haha. I miss working in a call center, thinking how I could afford to spend so much. But staying home is OK. I don’t get to spend much on things, but I do get to focus on Sanjo. So I think that’s good enough. Naku sis, medyo may maintenance nga pag sa condo nakatira. Pero kaya nyo yan ni Daddy Mike. May bagong racket ka ba jan? Haha.
hi fedhz..yup. sa inlaws. hehe. the FIL is great. the SIL sucks. haha. teka. add kita ym ha. dun tayo chika. para pag online ako eh meron namang nakakarelate sa pinagdadaanan ko. haha
i totally agree fehdz.. the higher ur income, the more expenses.. kaya prang the same lang din, wala masyadong savings. lol! but if you can afford naman some luxuries, why not di ba tutal, its your money your are spending and not somebody else’s…
we spent more on foods too..he..he…I’m still learning how to budget our resources here…left and right din kasi ang gastusin
no need for debt management ek ek noh!
yeah I want to say bout this also, but I think it is on individual, we can still control our spending. I saw in TV some ask if guy earn more does they go look for another woman.
