Valentine’s Date at Holy Cow!

Saturday Feb 13, 2010

When I tasted the steak on Chef’s Quarter, I urged Mike to go back there and celebrate Valentine’s day there. But when we got to Megamall’s atrium, he told me to choose from the restaurants nearby Chef’s Quarter and suggested we try out another restaurant. Since Holy Cow also serve steak (yes, I’ve been dying to eat steak after tasting Chef’s quarter and Pepper Lunch) so we headed onto Holy Cow to taste a different menu.

Holy Cow’s motif is like a ranch and you’ll notice them from their hanging frames the tables and on the waiters’ outfit. I haven’t been in a real ranch, but that’s what I see from the movies. (Oh, I didn’t really notice if they’re wearing boots, but I bet they were!)

Holy Cow’s food prices? Well if you’re like me who used to skimp on food, you would definitely shout, Holy Cow! Anyway, the price isn’t much that different from Chef’s Quarter, only I don’t think it’s worth your money paying Php700 for this Trail Driver’s Prime Rib Choice with a choice of *2 side dishes where you can get 2 slices of steak at Chef’s Quarter for Php750.00 which also comes with mashed potato and veggies.

Mike ordered a Caesar salad, which I loved. The grilled chicken was tasty and I hope they can make a separate menu for the grilled chicken.

I ordered the Angel hair pasta pesto for Yz. You know kids love pasta. I don’t really like Angel hair pasta but I think the sauce tasted fine. Nothing spectacular but Yz finished her share. Mike wasn’t satisfied with his Ranch Steak and chicken, and even more got disappointed with his rootbeer float. I bet there’ll be no more next visit for us to Holy Cow, unless someone will treat us there. hihi.

*side dishes to choose from:

potato croquet, steamed rice, buttered veggies, garlic rice, mashed potato

for those planning to to try holy cow, I’d suggest you try something else. The meal wasn’t worth the money I paid for :( especially the steak! If you’re a steak eater like me you’re better off eating at sizzling plate, I think they offer more value for money.

The service was decent but the food was not…
