Finally, after a month here in the condo, we had the door furniture or door lock (I couldn’t find the exact term for this) installed and I even paid the carpenters who installed them Php100 (about 2.30 USD) each for a short 15 minute work. Imagine? Maybe I was just too happy that we had it done already, after having restless nights of worrying that Yz might go out without our knowledge.
Yz trying to reach the door lock by jumping. Stop and think. Used a chair just like she did before. But Mommy and Daddy are smarter. Well, at least for now. ^^
I had been urging Mike to have our door lock installed already in the condo main door since we got here. We used to have one in Granny’s old house and Mike installed it when Yzabella started to learn to open the door by herself. The Granny was actually the one who’s overly troubled about it, especially since Yzabella knows how to manipulate different door handles already. Actually this door lock was hers. I know she couldn’t stand Mike being lax about it so she stepped her foot in (as always).
Praises were heard when the Granny saw the door furniture maybe thinking that it was a great idea to leave the door opened a little to let some fresh air in so she had one set up in her unit as well. I only leave it open like that when we’re awake and just rely on the 24/7 security of the condo, although some roving guards keep on questioning me about it.
