When I had my full time job last November, Mike and I thought I needed to upgrade my computer. As you all know, I was using a 17in laptop. I am used to Mike’s setup which made the laptop too slow for me. So instead of us upgrading the laptop, we thought that setting up a new desktop would be much better.

As usual, we searched for a good deal at TPC (Tipidpc) and this is what we’ve got. The original package includes:

1 Minix 780g SP128M
1 AMD Athlon X2 240 2.8ghz
1 Kingbox 2gb DDR2 800 Sodimm
1 Western Digital 160gb Sata II
1 Silverstone SG05 ITX Case

Minix Mobo

The seller asked me if I wanted to get another 2gb Kingbox which cost Php2,200. I took it, thinking I would be needing to buy memory sooner anyway cuz I really wanted a fast one. Wooot! So, yeah, I’m running on a 4gb setup on AMD. Imagine? I’m used to Intel Procs, but I have no problem with it so far.

Mike handed me down his DVD rewritable so I still have to buy a new optical drive for him. I ditched that Logitech Flat Keyboard and bought an Illuminated Keyboard (Logitech still) which came with a free 2.1 speakers. woot! (I think I’m getting tired of seeing my desktop on this blog. hihi)
