Using Radiators in Design

Wednesday Apr 21, 2010

Interior design is an art where attention to detail is very important. Some structural details cannot be changed, and more often than not, you’ll have to adapt your design to these stubborn aspects in order to make a successful design.

There are some things that people think must be hidden, however, which are entirely adaptable. One example of this is the radiator. People are generally not aware that there are high quality designer radiators available on today’s market.

Using radiators in your design can require a little more creativity than usual. The first thing you’ll want to do is determine where you’re going to place the radiator. Then, once you’ve determined the sort of room where you’ll place the radiator, choose the specific sort of design that you’ll be doing (modern and contemporary, classic, Victorian, and so on). You won’t have a hard time finding designer radiators that fit into your design scheme. Depending on the exact style, designer radiators should either be more discreet or the center of attention.

In many modern designs, sleek designer radiators can be a great focal point, helping with the angles you’re designing into the room. The taller structure of these modern radiator designs can help a room with low ceilings feel taller. In rooms where designer radiators would be a protrusion, you can easily disguise radiators in a number of ways. Bench radiators are an elegant way to include a radiator in a simple wood and metal design.

Designer radiators are available for almost any design style, so the most important part is doing research prior to starting the room. Radiators can usually be adapted to the design, but if all else fails, you can always shift your design concept slightly to accommodate them. After all, it’s more important to be flexible than it is to have an entirely specific look.
