Just in time for the holidays, I’m browsing the internet for gift ideas for my baby daughter who just turned 19 months today. I would love to buy her a gift in time for this coming Christmas holiday season. After minutes of perusing, I’ve stumbled upon a straightforward neat-looking website. They have gift ideas perfect for everybody - for your husband, friend, mother, grandmas and grandpas, your babies (daughter or son) or whatever gender; for people from different walks of life – for different kinds of seasons and various celebrations.
What I liked about this website is it’s easy to navigate and they have sorted out their products by recipient (to whom you’re going to give the gifts) and by occasion. What a great way to shop, especially now that Christmas holiday season is here and the days are moving fast! Time is important so I appreciate the layout of this site. I see clearly what I wanted to see right before my eyes. I hate cluttered looking website, you know.
Just looking at the pictures, I fell in love with those little cute baby things! How I wish I can buy them all. I remember shopping for the first time for my baby when she is only 7 months inside my tummy. Imagine how excited we were!!! My daughter’s grandAunt bought her a lot of clothes already, so I’m considering maybe an educational toy or a book.
Last Christmas season, I bought her the same – educational toys and books, which she had grown used to seeing so now she’s bored with them. So I’m actually considering a gift idea that is something new and with lots of activity in it. I thought baby blocks may be good and very timely for her age since baby blocks are advised for 1 year old and above. My daughter already has a stuck-it-up toy and she can already build 2 to 5 “blocks” up.. (What do you call them anyway?)
What caught my eye is this Haba Erste Steine Wooden Baby Blocks. I like it because it’s different from the conventional baby blocks which are shaped like cube box.. you know. They have different colors and shapes, which is fun to look at.
You only don’t stack them up but also play with the clown looking toy. I do hope those wheels are really rolling. They’re made of wood.. so what do I expect? Oh, wait! I can search by price range, by brand and color. That’s so neat! Anyway, I’m not really particular about the brands. I’m just after the safety of the materials used.
Next the books. The books I bought last year were magnetic and the magnets are made of papers so my kid is folding them. Not really appropriate for kids below 3; they might swallow those little magnet pieces. Now I’m looking at the Literature Books but I think they’re not yet for little tots, so I decided to go with the Pop-up books which look interesting and appropriate.
Discover and Play Musical Pop-Up Book from Baby Einstein got my attention because I’ve seen something similar from a bookstore and not because it’s from Baby Einstein. Like I said, I’m not really particular about brands. I think it’s cool pressing those buttons and I wonder what I (or my daughter) will hear from them.
Other products in the website have no pictures.. I hope they’d put pictures for their products so it’s easier to decide. Do you know how important pictures are?
Okay, the next thing I need to figure out is how to order from this website. I clicked the Add to cart button but it said I need some points so I can buy or order the products.. Geez. Somebody help me. Anyway, I’m just looking for gift ideas for my 1 year old baby daughter. I don’t think those online shops will deliver to where I am.

building blocks are great gifts for kids, they can play with it for hours and never got bored.
Building blocks are always recommended for kids as young as 7 months old when they can already appreciate the shapes and colors and experiment with them. Books are also one option that I consider when buying gifts for young kids. There are musical books that are really nice. I love shopping at Rustan’s; they have wide range of toy collections. For your daughter, I would recommend V-Tech computer; they have a version for one-year old kids.
I am addicted to building blocks, been buying a lot of it since 2004
Hi Ate Pehpot and Ate Toni!! Thanks for the advice and tips! I will look up the V-Tech Computer thingy. ^^

oh by the way, are you near libis? they had a huge warehouse sale there, most items are baby toys and when I say huge, really huge discounts you can get.. check out my other blog http://camerasexy.blogspot.com/2008/11/mega-bloks-vs-dslr.html you can see some of the toys I grabbed.. sobrang naubos ang pera ko dun!
Wow! “maubos din pera ko dun!” Haha! I’m really the less than 100 peso “kuripot” girl. I love items from the “sampu-sampu lang or the Twenty Pesos store”. haha! Thanks!
isang taon na marce.. isang taon na lumipas haha.. at as usual, mega blocks na naman binili ko waaah
The nicest gift you can afford to yourself and the globe during this vacation time of year is a cupful of zested cider, a delicious Christmas cookie, a round of jingle bells, and the gift of self love.
