2nd Visit To ER

Tuesday morning, July 27, Yzabella woke up and was crying for pain in her buttocks. I washed it thinking that it’s just itch, but she still complained. When we checked it out, the excess skin surrounding her butthole, which used to be harmless before, grew big like it had a boil in it.

We called over the Granny and told her we’d bring Yz to a hospital’s Emergency Room. The first time we had an emergency like this was when Yz swallowed a coin and we brought her to St. Luke’s Medical Center. But this time, we’re nearer The Medical City so we went there two o’clock in the morning.

I love living in the metro especially for times like this. We got a taxi in no time and was in ER in less than twenty minutes. There were some patients and their families in the hallway and waiting area with their big bags and bags of evergo oxygen concentrator, I think… Or was that a dslr bag?

Of course, I didn’t bring Mike’s Dslr, although I wanted to but my backpack was already stuffed with Yz’s things just in case we’d be needing to stay longer in the hospital. My fingers were crossed the whole time. I didn’t want to hear any ‘surgical procedures needed’ anymore, but the 3 women (I don’t know if they’re all pediatricians) suggested to have Yz’s butt checked with a pedia-surgeon, cuz there’s nothing they can do about it but to observe what will happen after they had prescribed Yz with an anti-inflammatory with pain killer meds.

Yz didn’t look bothered and she was already asking to go home, so we went ahead and just decided to observe her “excess skin/skin tag” at home. When we got home it looked smaller, but Yz was still a little uncomfortable. I didn’t send Yz to school that morning cuz I brought her to another pediatrician (not Yz’s pedia) who also suggested a pedia-surgeon. Geez.

We’re on our way now to Yz’s pedia now who saw this “excess skin” ever since she’s a baby. I hope it’s nothing that serious that we need her to be under anesthesia in 15 minutes.
