Bad News for Epassporte Account Holders

Friday Sep 3, 2010

Dear ePassporte Account Holders,

Please be advised that, at 12:00 PM PDT today, September 2, 2010, we were notified that effective immediately, Visa International has suspended our banking partner’s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program. The ePassporte e-Wallet program continues to be up and running, except funds cannot be transferred between your Visa Account and your e-Wallet. At this time ePassporte can no longer issue Visa Cards, and the ability for our Account Holders to make point of sale purchases and withdraw funds from ATMs has also been suspended.

At this time we do not know why this drastic action was taken by Visa. To us, it is unconscionable that such action would be taken without the opportunity for ePassporte to fully understand Visa’s reasons and to be able to take all steps necessary to keep our program running the way it has so successfully done for over 7 years. But that is what Visa has done.

As soon as we have more information we will be in contact with you.

In the meantime please be assured that your funds are safe.

We are very sorry for the short notice and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The ePassporte team is working diligently to rectify this situation.

We kindly ask you to bear with us while we work through this issue.

Please feel free to contact us via the message center or at our call center, should you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Thank You,

Christopher Mallick

What does this mean? If you have money in your epassporte account, you won’t be able to withdraw it anymore cuz the only way we can withdraw our money is using the epassporte card, which was under Visa Electron. Your virtual money will stay untouched not unless your funds are inside your e-wallet, although Epassporte promised that your funds are safe with them.

I do hope they can resolve this impediment soon cuz I know a lot of home based workers and entrepreneurs alike depend on epassporte receiving their payments and paying their workers.

this is really bad… A lot of people work and live out of the money they have in epassporte. they should have said this with time and let people take there funds out. Im hoping they can find a solution to this really fast or at least to have more information so we can cancel future trasactions using epassporte.

That’s it! And you have no idea what scale this shit already covered most of the homeworkers. The only question is whether or not to hope for a resolution of the problem or about the money we can forget.

hello sis. di ko pa alam payoneer eh. kaya yun naman try namin. siguro same lang din sila ng epassporte. kase may sariling card, unlike paypal, kahit san mo pwede withdraw.

This problem is a very very tragic one, that a lot of people using epassporte are worried about since only epassporte has the options for a good payment solution. Its perfect features made it number one of all the better payment solutions around especially for adult webmasters, and of t3leads and sharecash. Epassporte visa has been the one and only link for webmasters worldwide to be able to promote really good paying affiliate programs around the globe. But there were information about this move by VISA International as their step to a better security feature with the said program by Epassporte. But what’s really questionable is that how come Epassporte doesn’t have any clue or information about the said suspension of their program. This will terribly affect lots of affiliate programs around with Epassporte as their primary payment solution. VISA International must be out of their heads, that this incident if found out by MasterCard will be their GREATEST opportunity this year to grab hundreds of thousands of webmasters making millions of dollars yearly through lots of great affiliate programs and services around. VISA International should post their statements ASAP about this certain incident that shocked thousands of hard working webmasters and promoters world wide.

Of course all the money in your epassporte wallet is safe , that’s cause epassporte moved all the money that was in people wallets into peoples other accounts so that they can not use it . They did this by making a username eppselect and moving the money without permission .

how can u say that all our money that’s in epass wallet is safe if we couldn’t even get it…and how come visa never gave epass enough time to at least notify their cardholders? or visa did, it’s just that epass never cared with their cardholders to even bother to tell us…they have lots of money now. Lots of americans uses epass cards for their daily transaction. So it’s not only the webmasters that are affected. It’s been 4 days now and it is pretty quiet on epass’ side. Guess we’re all got screwed by them.

I have previously registered my bank account with epassporte to allow me to transfer funds from my epassporte account to my bank. As I understand it, this process requires the account holder to have funds in their e-wallet because funds cannot be transferred directly from the virtual account to a bank account. The problem is or was that payment coming into the epassporte account goes into your virtual account. I wrote to epassporte and they are making future incoming funds go into my e-wallet by default to allow me to move the funds into my bank account. I will find out on the sept 16 if that works out.
