One of my favorite channels before was Home TV shopping. It’s entertaining how they sell their products – how they work – although most of the presenters are over-reacting, it somehow pleased my need to be entertained. Since I don’t have time to sit in front of the tube and watch my favorite shows, all I have now is to surf Online shops. Well at least now I can choose which ones to see.
I am a mother now but not a housemaker. We don’t have a house of our own so I don’t have to worry about furniture or appliances yet. I bought my very first own appliance which boyfriend still thinks was a bad purchase. It set us back around $43. I don’t know why I’m obsessed with vacuum cleaners. Maybe because of advertisements and salespersons who goes house to house when I was younger and was amazed how vacuums work. Deep carpet cleaners sound new to me. New cleaners such as this uses steam unlike the other which uses hot water and soap.. I would love to try one.
My mom is a very organized person. I don’t know why that trait didn’t rubbed off on me. She loves buying those rubber made boxes that stack together where you can keep food or anything else (threads, needles, scissors). My mom is a tailor which brings me to this piece of sewing machine. I always want to have one that you can just place on top of your table. My mom has 2 sewing machines at home that can be used manually -one that’s pedaled – or used with motor. Seldom a time that I touched mom’s sewing machine so the idea of having one of my own is fruitless. ^^
I so much wanted to have an airconditioner in my room but then my parents couldn’t afford it. Boyfriend is lucky enough to have one installed in his room by his grandAunt. We rarely use it during cold days/nights but during summer it’s nonstop. I also wonder how furnaces and heaters work. Maybe someday when I get to countries where there is snow, then I’ll be able to find out… It’s getting cold now, maybe in the near future we will be needing a heater (because of Global Warming).
My father is an electrician and is very much concerned about conserving electricity. Maybe that’s where I got that somewhat stingy trait when it comes to electricity. He might actually consider one like this light control switch or could have designed one himself.
