Will I Be Happier With My New Smile?

Friday Mar 25, 2011

I don’t know if I should be happy now that my teeth are aligned (temporarily). Friends say that I looked good with my crooked teeth, or that maybe they just got used to it. And questions why would I wanted braces or have them at least “properly” aligned. Well, at first it used to be my OCness. I always had have my own measurement judgment for things, and if I say it’s not exactly lined up, then it’s not!

But they soon have grown to be a nuisance – babies bumping into them (hurting both me and the baby); giving me restless nights because of facial pain… And not because I would want to look pretty.. ier. haha! Yeah, actually I do love the look of my teeth especially when I smile, although some says.. “Oh, I just noticed you have fangs!”

This post should actually be about my root canal. But let’s just leave that to the next coming posts. Besides, I’m not yet in the mood to write an informative one. I just want to rant.. and rant.. and rant… yeah. I have not eaten any solid food. And best of all, I ordered the stoopidezt soup from Chowking – Chicken noodle soup. I know I didn’t like it before; I just thought that maybe they had changed their recipe somehow. So yeah, I’m hungry.. dizzy… and sad.

By the way, those are just temporary plastic crowns. Doctor will be attaching the porcelain ones on Tuesday which are fitter and smaller than these plastic ones. What ya think?

I was looking at pictures of different peoples teeth from around the world and came to your page. I think your attitude for changing your teeth is good, you are doing it for reasons other than looks. I wish people would be Ok with the way there teeth looked naturaly in America (my home), but they aren’t because the population is so mixed that there are lots of people with naturaly perfect teeth. Look at many Black peoples teeth, perfect and white. I envy the Japanese teeth, you aren’t under the same pressure to undergo years of appointments, pain, and thousands or tens of thousands of dollars so people think your normal and not defective. I had braces for 6 years and will need them again someday. Your teeth look good both ways. It has been a while since you posted this, I hope your happy with your teeth!
