Avon Race to 125,000 Kisses Run 2011

I was surprised to be urged by Peh to join Avon’s fun run. It’s the last thing I would expect from her since I’ve been inviting them (blogger friends) for a long time to join a run race. It’s a for a good cause, she says.. yes, beneficial for PGH Breast Care Center and selected provincial hospitals and for her and other gals keep their asses off their chair playing facebook games or online poker.

Mike and I dropped by Reebok last night, but didn’t asked about the race details thinking I’d be dropping by the next day (that’s today and the last day of registration) with Peh.

Anyway, I did. But they don’t have a large singlet for Peh. I called up Avon Shaw Blvd and they said they have both the S/M and M/L sizes. Hmm.. I don’t think they have the same race kits as the ones in Reebok. This I had to double check so I told Peh that we’d just register at Avon.

And so they did have different race kits. The singlet in Reebok is light colored pink and does not have much black on it (or my eyes were just deceiving me?). They (Reebok) also don’t have the Kiss bag tag which led me into registering at Avon instead lol. Anyhow, if the singlet at Reebok is light pink, then I would have chosen that one ^^v, but I didn’t have the energy to go back to Reebok, Megamall.

At the back of the bib you can find the time chip, unlike the ones I’m used to where you tie a circle thingy on your shoelaces. So if you lose your bib, you can’t check your time online, so better keep the bib intact.

With this running event, I was able to urge Mike to buy me a Black CR Tennis Head Band and a Purple Cose bag, even though I won’t be able to bring him and Yz with me on this event. Well unless they’d be willing to wake up at 4 in the morning to cheer for us to run and finish before the cutoff. lol
